Health Club Systems Highlights Operational Tools Following HFA October Fitness Profitability Findings

Health Club Systems points to its membership, check-in and access software as a resource for gym and health club owners managing daily operations amid newly published fitness industry profitability findings.

Houston, Texas, October 19, 2026 -- Health Club Systems is calling attention to its operational software for gym and health club owners following an October 7, 2026 report from the Health & Fitness Association on fitness industry profitability and staffing productivity. The Health & Fitness Association's October 7, 2026 findings from its global benchmarking report show that high-profit operators generated approximately 21% more revenue per full-time equivalent employee than lower-profit operators. The report draws on confidential financial and operating data from 244 operators representing nearly 27,000 fitness facilities across 40 countries.

Health Club Systems provides a software suite that brings together membership management, scheduling, payment processing, attendance tracking and reporting for gym and health club owners. The company's software suite includes a desktop application and an iPad application that handles memberships, scheduling, payments and sales, giving staff a single system for the tasks involved in running daily front-desk and back-office operations.

The company's member check-in tools support both attended and unattended check-in modes, with access indicators, attendance records and personal training session tracking built into the system. Digital membership agreements and waivers are handled through the company's X-Capture tool, while scheduling tools cover group classes, personal training appointments and room bookings.

For clubs operating outside staffed hours, Health Club Systems offers 24-hour access with key fob and mobile access options, real-time visit logging and online single-day guest passes. Security feature availability varies by club and location.

"Our software brings memberships, scheduling, payments and check-in together so gym and health club owners can manage their daily operations in one place," said Eric Speer, CEO of Health Club Systems. "As operators look at how they staff and run their clubs, having that information in a single system matters."

Health Club Systems offers US-based customer support to assist club owners and staff with the software suite, member check-in tools and 24-hour access offerings.

Health Club Systems provides management software and dues processing services for gyms and health clubs. Founded in 1979, the business offers membership management, scheduling, payment processing, check-in, reporting and member communication tools.
