Ritani Two-Stone Pear and Asscher White Gold Engagement Ring
A pear and Asscher-cut toi et moi engagement ring
Ritani launches a two-stone diamond engagement ring collection, becoming one of the only engagement ring e-tailers to allow customers to design a Toi Et Moi ring from scratch online. Settings will be available starting at $690 and include options of 14kt white gold, 18kt white gold, 18kt yellow gold, 18kt rose gold, and platinum.
Each two-stone ring comes with the customer's choice of either a preset certified lab-grown or natural diamond - customers can choose between three different carat weights: 0.50 carats, 0.75 carats, or 1 carat. The preset shapes include round, Asscher, cushion, and princess. Next, customers can handpick the second stone from Ritani's inventory of over 100,000 loose diamonds.
Two-stone rings have recently surged in popularity, especially among celebrities like Megan Fox, Ariana Grande, and Emily Ratajkowski, who all own or have worn two-stone engagement rings. While two-stone rings may seem very modern, they actually date back to the 1700s.
Toi Et Moi, translating to "you and me" in French, is one of the most romantic engagement ring styles you can find. Traditional rings are built with one major center stone, but Toi Et Moi, also referred to as two-stone engagement rings are created with two different stones nestled closely together. In many cases, the two stones are set so closely that they are touching. This placement of the gemstones is to represent the commitment and love between two individuals coming together in marriage. "If you're looking for a unique engagement ring, a Toi Et Moi diamond ring is an excellent choice. For a truly eye-catching look, pair a step-cut diamond with a brilliant or modified brilliant-cut diamond. Step-cut diamonds include Asscher and emerald-cut diamonds and are cut to emphasize the stone's clarity. This will create a captivating look next to a brilliant or modified brilliant-cut diamond, which is cut for sparkle," says Ryan Kelsie, a gemologist at Ritani.
