The Assistance Fund Adds Government Affairs Specialist Missy Jenkins to Leadership Team

The Assistance Fund (TAF), an independent charitable patient assistance organization that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs, today announced it has hired Missy Jenkins as its new Vice President of External Affairs. Missy Jenkins is a health policy expert and veteran of Capitol Hill, the private sector, and patient advocacy.
"I'm delighted to welcome Missy to our leadership team," said Mark P. McGreevy, President and CEO of The Assistance Fund. "Missy's wealth of government affairs and coalition-building experience will be a tremendous asset to The Assistance Fund's advocacy efforts in Washington to ensure no patients go without treatment because of an inability to pay."
In her previous roles, Missy served as the top health advisor to former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and acted in lead lobbying positions at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, PhRMA, and PCMA. She helped implement the Medicare Modernization Act and played leadership roles in the passage of legislation to promote biosimilar medication therapies and a uniform national standard for electronic prescribing.
